we had sopa de mani in a restaurant last week. this is the most delicious soup in bolivia. sopa de mani = peanut soup. it doesn´t really taste like peanuts, but it is exceptionally creamy and delicious. my aunt makes a mean sopa de mani. chunks of slow stewed beef. crushed and blended peanuts. potatoes, carrots, onions, rice, and a couple of other veggies. she made some earlier this week, but in her recipe, she omitted the chicken feet and head.

Chicken feet and heads shouldn't freak me out, but they do. I'd like to delete that bit of cultural programming.
