argentina and the lakes district

got to argentina a few days ago and immediately flew to bariloche in the lakes district of patagonia. its called the lakes district for good reason.

we got here sleep deprived and missing the carrying capacity of the van, but found a parilla to drown our sorrows in steak. we shared an enormous cut of bife de lomo and chorizo. the steak was easily the best i've had in 5 years. and like good argentines, we immediately passed out afterwards. the afternoon siesta closes most businesses for a few hours each day and it is now firmly entrenched in our daily routine.
