unfortunate events brought me to nyc in early october. my uncle pat passed away. he was a great man and lived an amazing life. i'll leave it at that.

still kicking...
just not blogging very often. october has been a banner month, most of which was spent traveling within the US... which lends itself poorly to computer time. i'm not very optimistic about regularly updating the blog in the coming year if this past month is any indicator.
now that i'm sitting at my parent's house in south carolina, i'll try to get some pictures up. but to sum up: traveled to nyc, portland, seattle, coastal oregon, sf, and now bluffton, south carolina. the month saw the death of a loved one; eating an unhealthy amount of nyc pizza in a 2 day period; sand; the use of crutches, a cane, a boot, and finally some regular goddamn walking; 17 games of online risk; some reasonable gas prices; backyard fire pits and homebrewed stouts; a love of old fat elvis presley songs; an engagement; a futile crabbing venture; an even more futile fishing venture; 12 hours of the settlers board game; killing 4 bottles of wine with my dad from 2am to 6am; and the purchasing of two tickets to bangkok. my fantasy football team is mediocre and declining rapidly. the giants are winning. and the red sox didn't make the series thank god.
it was a good month. pictures are on their way...
